When Choc Express decided to reposition their chocolate business, it presented us with an exciting challenge on two fronts. Firstly, we had to pitch our wits against some of the best brains in the design world and secondly, we needed to completely immerse ourselves in the world of chocolate and find a way to maximise its full potential in the luxury sector of the confectionery world.

From this, Hotel Chocolat was born – a unique vision of an inclusive and aspirational brand that would introduce true quality to a broader market without sacrificing its premium positioning or pricing. The logo is still a classic device that identifies the brand as a five-star contender in the luxury chocolate world, 15 years on.
